Install vidolet in Chrome and pin it from the extensions menu. Open a page with a video, start playback, then click the vidolet icon. Select a detected video and quality, wait for preparation to finish, and save. No account or payment is needed. The official store installation link will be available after launch.

Start playing the video on its page first. If it still does not appear, reload the page, play it again and open vidolet. Some video formats or content protection methods cannot be detected.

You can save direct MP4 and M4A files and supported HLS video on demand. YouTube, DRM-protected videos, DASH and live streams are not supported. Available quality depends on the video; vidolet does not upscale the source.

Choose MP4 first for everyday playback and sharing. MKV may suit some videos or players. Changing the file format does not increase video quality.

For HLS videos, the save button becomes available once the file is ready. Keep the job tab open during preparation. Reloading or closing it may mean you need to prepare the video again.

Check your internet connection and available storage. Make sure the video still plays on its original page, then try again. If the source link has expired, reload the original page and select the video again. If you cancel the save dialog, you can save again from the prepared job screen.

For a prepared HLS video, keep the job screen open and press save again to use another name or location. After closing the job screen, you may need to prepare the video again.

Save videos you own or have permission to download. Check the provider's terms and copyright requirements before using the content.
