Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

1. Operator and scope

griotold (the “operator”) provides the vidolet Chrome extension and its website. This policy explains how vidolet processes information when you download videos and use the website.

Privacy contact: support@vidolet.com

2. Information we process and why

The extension detects video URLs in network requests from web pages it has permission to access. It processes the following information on your device to display media and download files.

Even before you select a video, the extension may request detected playlists and some video segments to check quality, audio and estimated size. It does not request login accounts, payment details or advertising identifiers, and does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

3. Transfers and external providers

The vidolet extension does not upload video URLs or downloaded files to the operator's servers. Videos and related information are transferred directly to your browser from the original site or its content provider.

During these requests, the original provider may receive your IP address and standard request information. The provider's existing login cookies may be included according to browser rules. vidolet does not ask for your password or send authentication information to a separate account server.

External services, including source sites and the Chrome Web Store, process information under their own policies. vidolet does not use processed video URLs or usage history for ad targeting or sale.

4. Storage and retention

5. Managing and deleting information

You can restrict site access, disable vidolet or remove it in Chrome's extension settings. Restricting access may prevent video detection or downloads on some sites.

You can clear the website theme and language settings through your browser's site-data controls. Manage saved videos in your file manager and download history in Chrome. Clearing download history does not delete the actual files.

You may use the contact address below to request access, correction or deletion of information the operator holds from email support. We may ask you to verify your identity to the extent needed to handle the request.

6. Email support

Messages sent to our support address are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator’s email inbox.

When you email us, the operator uses your sender email address, message and any attachments to respond and troubleshoot. Information is deleted when it is no longer needed after the response and follow-up are complete. If a separate retention obligation applies, information is retained within its required scope and period.

Do not send passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, private videos or material containing personal information. Video URLs may contain access credentials. Start by sharing only the site name, Chrome version and error message. Your email service's policies also apply to sending and storing email.

7. Website and policy updates

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver pages and secure the service, Vercel servers may process connection information such as IP address, access time, request path, browser and device information. This may involve infrastructure outside your country. For details, see the Vercel Privacy Policy.

The job identifier used to open the download screen is passed after the # in the URL and is not included in the website's HTTP requests. Original video URLs and prepared video files are not sent to the website hosting servers.

The website has no login, payments, advertising or analytics tools. It uses local storage to remember your display theme and language.

If the information processed or its purposes change, we will announce the changes and update this policy. Where consent is required, we will follow the necessary procedure.
